Then I have an Apc40 mostly for the many led lit knobs, the arm/mute/solo and volume faders for each channel and the send controls. I’m not sure If you might need more info on this kinda thing but I’ve been messing around with this kinda setup for a couple years now and it runs beautifully with two iPhones with one running koala mostly, n the other one is just a display running Touch Osc so I know what Ableton params are being controlled on my Apc40 knobs at any given moment and the iPad. And from this setup you can easily route any controller connected to your mac to control your iPhone or iPad and have the sound running into your DAW. You can’t like fire up the super powerful NI Komplete software or any of their effects or instruments….but you CAN integrate your iPhone or iPad using IDAM (a usb controller n configuration in the Audio/Midi settings in ur mac’s utilities folder and allow the devices to run audio into the mac AND midi both to/from the mac and the device which is actually a major aspect of my setup cuz I pretty much start everything I do using Koala on my iPhone and my ipad with AUM stacked with cool apps as an fx processor in Ableton Live. Also, and this is kinda capital obvious of me, but there’s no Native Instruments software for the iOS or iPadOS systems yet so you can just control with midi CC learn and your keys as notes. I have a Kk 49A and it works fine as a controller on my iPad n iPhone but *it def requires u to use an active powered usb hub AND the Apple camera connector to connect the usb cable n continue charging.
